Our Blue Mountains Heritage Cottage Project built by Broome Built Homes

 

This cottage was built pre-1900s, one of the first cottages built on an iconic street in the Blue Mountains. We colours and finishes chosen embrace the old world charm of the home. We modernised the floor plan to reflect open living and kitchen spaces whilst playing respect to the design.

 

Some of the defining features added to the home are:

• Coffered ceiling in the hallway

• Restoration of existing ceilings

• Restoration of existing wrought iron pillars

• Restoration of existing twin marble fireplaces

• Restoration of paint and new doors and windows to match existing style

• Pocket fencing in matching exterior colours

• Use of Carrara Marble throughout the house

• Traditional hardware

• Restoration of existing front porch with timber that is over 120 years old
